Questions

Answers to the most common questions

How much fits in a container?

A 5 m³ container holds about 50 to 60 wheelbarrows, a 7 m³ about 70 to 85 and a 10 m³ about 100 to 120. That is with wheelbarrows of 80 to 100 litres, filled to the rim.

Which size do I need?

For a bathroom, a garage or an attic the 5 m³ container is usually enough. For a flat or kitchen renovation, a new roof or demolition, take the 7 m³. The 10 m³ is for larger amounts of bulky waste, such as old furniture and appliances.

Can rubble go in the 10 m³ container?

No. The 10 m³ container is for bulky non-hazardous waste only. Rubble and soil are heavy, so they go in the 5 and 7 m³ containers.

What may not go in?

Asbestos, hazardous waste and chemicals, paints and solvents, tyres, car and other batteries, and medical waste. If you are not sure, ask us before you fill it.

How much space does it take?

One parking space. The 5 m³ container is 3 m long and 1.7 m wide, the 7 m³ 3.5 m long and 1.7 m wide. The truck needs access to the spot where it sets the container down.

Do I need a permit for the street?

Not on a building site, in a yard or on a plot. For a street, pavement or public parking space, the municipality of Inđija issues an approval for the use of public land, through its urban planning department (022 561 322).
